It felt like they thought they were done with the product
It just seemed like there was about a 5 year span where they didn't do much of anything to make the product better. Versions were buggy and the ability to collaborate are still woefully lacking. Yeah, it was a TON of money for basically one specific style of word processing, but it was the only tool you needed to be a writer, so you bit down and shelled out the money.įor me, the issues came with the lack of new features and support. Things like auto names and tab for different elements made the unique and difficult formatting rules simple and painless. It did what no other word processing software could or wanted to do: properly format TV and film screenplays (and stage plays).
